Paid leave for staff and administrators to participate in mission-related retreats and programs, community service, and to take time off for religious holidays not observed by the University.

Eligibility
- Available to regular full-time and part-time positions scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week (1,040 hours per benefit year).
- Leave is prorated for part-time and new employees.
- Supervisory approval required.
Community Service Leave
- Up to two paid days per benefit plan year (July 1 - June 30).
- Unused leave do not rollover to the next benefit year.
- Unused leave will not be paid out at termination.

- A (501(c)(3) or 501(c)(4) organization.
- Looking for an organization? Search the or contact the organization to verify.
- A governmental agency/organization or human services organization licensed or accredited to serve citizens with special needs, including children, youth, and the elderly.
- A primary or secondary public or private school in a childcare program, mentoring program, or tutoring or literacy program.
- Religious organizations, including programs supporting the larger community (e.g., food pantries).
- Loyola's office of campus ministry or center for community service and justice (CCSJ).
Mission/Religious Observance Leave
- Up to two paid days per benefit year (July 1 - June 30).
- Additional time may be taken with accrued vacation, personal leave, or unpaid leave.
- Submit Time Off Request in .
- Unused leave do not rollover to the next benefit year.
- Unused leave will not be paid out at termination.
- Employees are responsible for program fees, travel, and transportation costs.
- Programs, initiatives, and retreats related to Ignatian Formation to encounter, explore, engage, and enact our Ignatian Mission.
- Discussions, days of reflection, or other activities/programs focused on the University’s mission.
- Contact Loyola's office of campus ministry or special assistant for mission for available events and activities.
Religious holidays not observed by the University.
