51¶ÌÊÓÆµ the Montessori Credit for Prior Learning Program
The Credit for Prior Learning pathway allows Montessori professionals with a diploma from a MACTE-accredited I/T, EC, EL I-II, or Admin training credential to earn a master’s degree. Students earn 15 credits toward the 33-credit master’s degree with their diploma from an MACTE-accredited training program.
A non-refundable fee of $500 is charged at the time of admission for the translation of credits onto the transcript.
Credit for Prior Learning graduate courses are taught in an asynchronous, online format. Classes are 8 weeks during the fall, spring, and summer semesters.
The Credit for Prior Learning pathway includes weekly forums and assignments that encourage collaboration and hands-on learning. Each course culminates in a project that allows students to directly apply Montessori principles to their work. The program embodies Loyola’s dedication to preparing educators to lead with innovation and make a lasting impact on their communities.

- $60 application fee (waived when you attend a virtual information session)
- $500 non-refundable fee paid in full prior to starting the program (required following admission to the program for the evaluation of the MACTE credential)
