Spring Poetry Contest
Every Spring semester, the department of Modern Languages and Literatures sponsors
a Poetry Recitation Contest in which students in Modern Languages courses compete
in performing poetry recitations in the language studied.
Requirements
With your professor's input, choose a poem in the language you study at Loyola (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish). Memorize your poem! Work with your professor to master it! Be prepared to introduce the poem - author, time period, why you chose it, other details you'd like to share.
